World Stroke Day is October 29th, 2016

WHAT IS A STROKE?
A stroke is a medical emergency where a blood vessel in the brain bursts, or more commonly, is blocked. Without treatment, cells in the brain rapidly begin to die.
One in six people will suffer a stroke in their lifetime.
It can be very debilitating and is more treatable than ever before BUT time is critical. Responding quickly could mean the difference between disability and recovery.
